In October of 2002 we went to Massachusetts for our honeymoon. We saw many beautiful sights. We toured several historic homes and museums, including Norman Rockwell's studio, and Herman Melvilles' home.
Below are some photos we took while there. Hope you enjoy them!
This is one of many of the historic
buildings in Great Barrington where we stayed while in Massachusetts.
This is the Norman Rockwell museum located in Stockbridge.
This is Norman Rockwell's studio
located on the grounds of the museum.
Cammie is standing below the sign advertising Alice's Restaurant
made famous by the folk singer Arlo Guthrie.
Cammie stands beside one of the characters
at a minigolf center in
Great Barrington.
This is Dave playing minigolf.
Dave sits on a ledge overlooking
one of many of the beautiful scenic
sights of Massachusetts.
Here is Cammie relaxing in front of the same scenic view.
This is the visitors center for the historic area of Salem.
We took a ride in this horse drawn carriage.
Here we are after our tour through historic Salem.
This statue is located outside the Witches Museum, one of many tourist attractions available.
Cammie and I also did a walking tour of the old section of Salem
which still has cobblestone roads, and historic artifacts from the 1600's during
the famous Salem witch trials.
We visited a famous graveyard where many of those involved with the witch trials are buried...some of the earliest graves dating from the early 1600's.
Here is Cammie looking at some of the gravestones.
Cammie and I toured Herman Melvilles home, located outside Lennox.
It was very interesting to learn of the history of the Moby Dick author's life.
Thank you for stopping by our Massachusetts page. We hope you will take the time to visit our other photo pages as well as the rest of the site.
